AD-diction

Ads today are always trying to trick and pull people in.  using words such as “help” and “virtually” help sell a product by making claims seem more then what they are.  For example, in a commercial with products used for acne on your face it usually states that it will help cure acne.  Some people would say “wow, let’s get that”, but the truth is that it will only help cure acne it won’t actually cure it. All ads in America somehow always manipulate large margins of people.  They use what we know and love to draw us in.  a lot of ads today for example uses sex to get us to get a product, and for the other half who are virgins they use drugs to sell it to us lol.  It’s this one commercial that is trying to sell planters peanuts and they have a hideous lady walking up the street with every dude looking at her as she walks by.  Now the lady is very ugly, so why does she get all this attention from guys?  The commercial is implying that no matter how ugly you are you can always get all the ladies or males you want as long as you eat planter’s peanuts.  Well sounds good enough so I will go buy me some, you should too.  By the way, I’m not calling you ugly lmao.  The Geico commercials have a weird meaning as well “so easy a caveman can do it”.  I think that this ad has A very unique way of putting their point out.  On the ad they have cavemen who seem very intelligent, but yet it’s so easy a cave man can do it.  People usually laugh at this ad ignorant of that fact that they are calling us dumb.  The cave men are smart and have a large vocabulary which a lot of people don’t have so they are saying if you are not smart as the caveman in this ad then you will have trouble.  Is that a lot to take in because I am confused writing this.  I think that a lot of ads have secret meanings and messages behind them, but if there is one thing that Americans are good at it’s scamming.  I guess you have to make a dollar somehow.  Next time you see an ad think to yourself and see what you get out of it because most likely the first thought is the right one.
